Rust & Revival’s story began in 2001 when owner Kevin Jordan thought it practical to make his first car a 1966 Mustang Convertible... outside Boston.

Kevin spent the next 10 years, fighting, building, rebuilding, rewiring and driving the Mustang from Marin Country California, to San Francisco, Orange County, and ultimately back to Massachusetts. 

Along the way, Kevin met his mentor in all things automotive - Kenneth Anthony Mechhi - a master mechanic of more than 40 years.

Tony and Kevin rebuilt the Mustang's engine from the bottom up, configuring every component of the 2V factory 289 V8 to just above factory specs. Stronger lifters, adjustable valves, Holley Carburetor, a performance water pump, timing chain and camshaft. ​​
